Former Dentsu Aegis Network exec Sonal Patel has joined Quantcast in a newly created role of Managing Director of South East Asia (SEA), based in its Singapore office. Patel will lead the South East Asia business, reporting into APAC managing director Andrew Double, who is based in the Sydney office.
Patel has spent almost 20 years in the digital advertising industry, most recently as president of programmatic services and product at Dentsu Aegis Network APAC. Prior to this, she held a number of senior positions at AppNexus, Carousell, Google, Twitter, Salesforce, Adgile, and Yahoo!.
As an industry leader Patel has often shown a strong passion for ethics and responsibility, as well as discussing innovation and tech.
She said: “Quantcast has seen significant growth in Southeast Asia in recent years. I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue the great work the team is doing and lead this next phase of growth within such a progressive and successful organisation. My appointment and those of the other new team members continue the amazing momentum of Quantcast in the region into 2020 and beyond.”
It comes as Quantcast has made a raft of changes to its APAC team, with Daniel O’Connor being promoted to sales director, former group head at Blis Stephen Rhodes joining as agency partner, Antoinette Patterson has also joined as client partner from SpotX and Roshni Shivaramakrishnan as a technical account manager from Essence.

Quantcast has had a technical presence in Asia for some time but officially launched the commercial business in January of 2018, with founder Konrad Feldman stating that the maturity of markets in Asia had become on a par with the rest of the world in terms of the use of data.
